David has spent the last decade reporting on and delivering insights for the Business Communications market. With a specialism in channel ecosystems, David is passionate about dynamic and innovative partner businesses.
David started his media career reporting on the algorithmic trading landscape before turning his attention to telecoms in 2012. Since the beginning of his career, he has spent time developing and delivering media propositions for the market which include events, awards and new media formats such as live broadcasts and podcasts.
These days, you will find David hosting industry discussions across the Today Digital brands and using his publishing experience to help push new innovative initiatives for the communications market.
David lives in the Southeast of England with his family.
Jay McBain is one of the most visible and respected thought leaders in the global channel. Named 2021 Channel Influencer of the Year by Channel Partners Magazine, Top 40 Under Forty by the Business Review, as well as numerous channel magazines top influencer lists, he is often sought out for industry guidance and future trends.
He has spent his 27-year career in various executive channel sales, marketing, and strategy roles within IBM, Lenovo, and ChannelEyes. Jay is the principal analyst for global channels, partnerships, and ecosystems at Forrester – one of the most influential global research and advisory firms in the world.

Federation of Communication Services
Itret Latif joined the FCS board in 2009 and was appointed FCS Deputy Chairman in summer 2016. He also brings more than 18 years of telecoms and energy industry leadership, regulatory and policy development expertise and management experience. Itret has held several leading non-executive director positions in Telecoms and Energy and has been invited to provide evidence to both the House of Commons and House of Lords on telecoms and energy. In his evidence to the House of Lords in 2012 he was first to identify broadband as an essential service and a utility. At the same hearing, he called for Regulatory change and restructuring of BT with Openreach being separated to become a legal entity owning both the infrastructure assets and engineering operation.
As a former senior executive of Scottish and Southern Energy plc (SSE), he established and headed highly profitable SSE retail telecoms and gas businesses. Other roles include Chairman respectively of the Gas Forum and SPAA organisations where he led on behalf of members the development of industry governance arrangements for the gas supply industry retail competition. He has considerable experience and appreciation of the challenges faced by new entrants. He brings a wealth of leadership, business policy development and regulatory experience to the FCS Board.

Mark is an author, keynote speaker, and the Founder of PARTNERNOMICS®, an international training, coaching, and consulting firm that helps business professionals make strategic partnering become a core competency.
Mark is an expert at turning collaborative relationships into highly functional competitive advantages. While working for a Fortune 100 technology firm, he travelled across Europe and the US architecting and leading hundreds of multi-million dollar partnerships. From the early 2000s, his passion and expertise in strategic partnerships led him to speak at international conferences from London, England to Silicon Valley.
Mark’s passion and ability to build lasting business partnerships is a unique gift. He created the PARTNERNOMICS® platform of online courses, remote coaching programs, and consulting services by collaborating with more than 300 partnership thought-leaders and combining those insights with his 20+ years of partnership experience, which included solutions with an aggregate value of more than $7 billion.
Knight Corporate Finance
Adam is a founder and Director of Knight, developing the business alongside Paul from inception to a market leading corporate finance boutique, and personally leads transactions from preparation through to completion. Prior to this he had over 15 years experience in the telecoms and technology sector. He was a founder shareholder of V Networks a reseller which was acquired by Opal Telecom in September 2008 and prior to this he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance as lead advisor for telecommunication transactions. Adam is also a Director of Knight R&D, a R&D tax relief consultancy, and Advisory Board member of fund:tmt, a small TMT investment fund.
Philip joined Megabuyte in 2009 and is a partner in the business. As well as his Chief Analyst duties, Philip’s day-to-day role is running the ICT research team. He is also closely involved with analyst and intern recruitment.
Philip has over 25 years’ experience in telecoms, including six years as an equity analyst with UBS, Commerzbank and Citigroup, and seven years as a management consultant with PA Consulting Group and NERA. Prior to joining Megabuyte, Philip worked as an independent telecoms analyst and consultant, advising banks, operators, investors and regulators.
Philip holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in Economics from University of Southampton and Birkbeck College, University of London respectively.
Scott is a Tech Strategy professional who has worked in the MSP industry for over 20 years. Working at some of the UK’s largest IT service providers, Scott built and lead the Cloud teams, platforms and commercial models which helped hundreds of clients on their digital journey away from rubbish IT solutions. Helping businesses move to awesome cloud services which actually make a difference to their teams and their customers.
In April 2019, Scott founded Cloud Nexus, a Microsoft 365 and Azure niche-focus consultancy firm in Leeds. Working alongside Microsoft Partners, the business supports the MSP community to develop their offerings around Microsoft 365, Teams and Azure.
